The international Business plan competition for life sciences “Best of Biotech – BOB”
will start for the 9th time on April 3.
BoB – Best of Biotech is an international life science business plan competition. aws BoB – Best of Biotech is organised by Life Science Austria (LISA, a program run by the Austria Wirtschaftsservice on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs.
What are BoB’s goals?
- Motivating scientists and other creative individuals in the life sciences to become entrepreneurs
- To translate life science innovations into professional business plans and presentations through comprehensive and individualized coaching for its participants
- High visibility of the winners in the life science community and networking opportunities for all
- Encouraging commercial exploitation of applications-oriented scientific research and innovation
- Continued promotion of Austria and Central Europe as a life science business incubator
Two different tracks…
For the ninth edition the businessplan competition will be organised in two different tracks
Early phase track
Early phase projects have to submit a max. of 12 pages pitch deck. While working on their pitches the teams can benefit from extensive coaching and feedback by BOB coaches. Before the jury presentations, which will be held by the project teams personally, the three best projects of each track and category have the opportunity to take part in a coaching and presentation workshop.
Start up phase track
Start up phase projects have to submit a complete business plan of max. 30 pages as well as a jury presentation. While working on their business plans and presentations the teams can benefit from extensive coaching and feedback by BOB coaches. Before the jury presentations, which will be held by the project teams personally, the three best projects of each category of the start up track have the opportunity to take part in a coaching and presentation workshop.
